Huge congratulations to our brave and brilliant volunteer Margaret Allen and her husband, Rob, who have successfully completed their zip wire challenge at Twickenham Stadium in support of Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston.
Flying 150 metres across the iconic rugby pitch would be nerve-racking for anyone, but for Margaret, who has a fear of heights, this was a massive personal challenge.
Margaret said: ‘I was absolutely terrified and was shaking when I finished, but I wanted to do this for Crossroads, a local charity that provides vital home and community respite to unpaid carers.
‘Every penny that you have given will help carers to have a much-needed break, so thank you to everyone who has donated — we really do appreciate it.’
We’re so proud of you, Margaret, and beyond grateful to you for being so brave. Our gratitude to everyone who has so kindly donated to this challenge.
There’s still time to support Margaret and Rob’s dare devil fundraiser. Simply visit their fundraising page.
