Want to help change the lives of unpaid carers this June?
Why not host a tea party during Carers Week (10th-16th June), or another time during the month of June, to raise money for local charity, Crossroads Care?
What impact would my fundraising have?
If you raised just £54 that would provide, for example, two full hours of respite care — giving a carer who is looking after a loved-one of any age and disability a vital break.
Interested but not sure what you need to do?
It couldn’t be simpler, invite some friends over for a tea party — a cup of tea with maybe a slice of cake — and ask them for a donation to our charity in return. Maybe ask them to donate £5 for a cup of tea or coffee or £10 for a cup of tea with a slice of cake — no obligation, give what you can!
If you’d like, you could even make the cake. We can highly recommend a specially themed Carer’s Cake with Lemon and Thyme – Thyme for Courage, Strength and Sacrifice and Lemon for Longevity, Love, Purification and Friendship – all the elements hard working carers give every day.
